Review: Jelly Towers

In Jelly Towers you drag around geometric shapes in a mini physics-based world to create towers. The goal of this tower building is to feed a giant hydra a certain kind of block, depending on the level. The graphics are simplistic but convey the style of the game well, and the tutorial levels are very helpful in learning how to play. You'll need all the knowledge you can get because you will be faced with more and more difficult levels pretty quickly. I have to say I've not been as frustrated with a game in a long time, yet still spending time playing it. Frustrated because it takes a steady hand to get the towers to not fall over with a single swipe of your mouse, yet strangely addictive once you figure out a way to build a tower tall enough with your limited pieces.
So, if you are looking for a bit of a diversion for a half-hour or longer you should check this game out. Just prepare to want to throw your mouse at the wall a few times trying to get that block to settle just right to feed your jydra...
